Berber women read symbols in nature — mountains, trees, plants, animals, insects — then weave them into carpets, guided only by imagination.
Based in Taznakht, in the heart of Morocco’s Siroua Mountains, our cooperative brings together rural Amazigh women who preserve a centuries-old tradition of carpet weaving. Inspired by the mountains, nature and the stories of their land, each artisan transforms her imagination into unique patterns, carefully hand-woven with wool and traditional techniques.
Taznakht is renowned as one of Morocco’s historic centers of carpet craftsmanship, known for its rich weaving heritage and distinctive regional styles. Every rug is more than a decorative piece — it is a fragment of Moroccan heritage, carrying the knowledge, creativity and identity of the women who created it.

Woven by rural Amazigh women in the Siroua Mountains near Taznakht, Morocco, each rug carries generations of ancestral craftsmanship. Taznakht, a historic center of Moroccan carpet weaving, is celebrated for its five distinctive rug traditions, each shaped by the landscapes, symbols and stories of the region. Long appreciated for their artistry and cultural value, these exceptional rugs have found their place in refined interiors and distinguished private collections.

In the Siroua Mountains of Morocco, rural Amazigh women draw inspiration from nature — mountains, trees, plants, animals and insects — transforming these symbols into unique designs through their imagination and ancestral weaving traditions. Each piece is handmade in Taznakht, Morocco, a renowned center of Moroccan carpet craftsmanship.

For modern, serene, and clean interiors, featuring natural wool and timeless geometric storytelling.

Inspired by the wild beauty of nature (mountains, plants, insects), bringing bold expression to your space.

Rooted in deep ancestral Berber storytelling since 2003 by our 13 families across Taznakhte and surrounding villages.

A seamless blend of tradition and contemporary decor, handwoven with imagination like drawing.

The women of our cooperative draw their patterns from what surrounds them — mountains, trees, plants, animals, insects — and knot them into the rug from memory, without a drawing to follow.
Each rug takes between three weeks and four months, depending on its size and the density of the knots.
From the wool to the final knot, every rug carries the patience, imagination and ancestral knowledge of the women who weave it. Across 13 families in Taznakht and the surrounding villages, this living tradition transforms natural materials into unique pieces of Moroccan heritage.
Inspired by the landscapes of the Siroua Mountains, Amazigh women translate mountains, plants, animals, insects and ancestral symbols into distinctive woven motifs — creating each rug as naturally as an artist draws on a blank canvas.

We carefully select the finest living sheep's wool from the Siroua Mountains (moutons du Siroua), prized for its natural resilience and comforting warmth. HAND MADE BY MOROCCAN RURAL WOMEN.

Washed, carded, and spun by hand, the yarn is ready as artisan women draw symbols from nature (mountains, trees, plants, animals, insects...) directly from their imagination.

Handcrafted since 2003 across 13 families (3 in Taznakhte, 10 in nearby villages) using ancestral techniques, knots, and organic dyes.

Each piece is sun-dried, rigorously inspected for quality, and finished with care before bringing the soul of Morocco to your home. HAND MADE BY MOROCCAN RURAL WOMEN.

Excellent cooperative! I have ordered several rugs from them through WhatsApp, one of which is the “Glaoui” in the photo and I did this from the comfort of my home in the Netherlands. The shipping was quick but the delivery took a bit of time due to the customs. I can only recommend them for the great service and very competitive price you don’t get in shops in big cities. Thanks Youness!
If you want to buy a beautiful Moroccan rug this is the shop to go to. My husband and I stopped here after reading about the town being a good spot for rug shopping, and we are so glad we did. We got several rugs (10) for an extremely good price. His first offer was his best offer so we did not have to negotiate, and he explained the logic behind his pricing and gave us a discount for being the first customers of the day. We were shown several rugs and when we expressed interest in certain sizes and types he showed us everything he had that we were interested in. We were so happy with our experience that we will likely order from him in the future for international shipping. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough!
